Cholera, typhoid, Ebola

IRIN reports that Zimbabwe is battling outbreaks of cholera and typhoid (the former awfully close to the South African border). In Uganda, meanwhile, the president has called for no physical contact as Ebola is reported for the first time in Kampala

In more positive news, it seems South Africa is finally making progress in reducing mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
