I've been relatively internet-less for the last two weeks, so this is a quick catch-up on things that caught my eye.

1. This on Blood and Milk about nice in development:
When good people are making a good faith effort to do work that matters, you feel like the worst kind of jerk calling them out for waste or incompetence. And every project benefits one or two people. Nobody wants to be the one to say that those one or two people were not worth the effort.
Yes. Just yes. In fact, so much yes, I might write an article about this just as soon as I can figure out how to do that in South Africa without being un-PC (and thereby risking unemployability).

2. Haba na Haba blog talks about what is really going on with the Malawian president and the possibility of repealing the ban on homosexuality. This, by the way, is a fascinating story that will definitely be worth watching over the next few months.
