Kidnapped man released in Mozambique

A man held for a month in northern Mozambique by former rebel-movement Renamo has been rescued by police. The man appears to have been held captive on the grounds that he was a Frelimo spy. Astonishingly, the news article is at pains to explain that he denies the charge, as if the charge itself would justify the actions of the demobilized Renamo soldiers. This bizarre and thankfully seemingly isolated incident happened in the northern province of the country.
