Sanitation shouldn't be a luxury

2.6 million people don't have access to proper sanitation. So many of the diseases that kill people every day in Africa are directly linked to sanitation. Clean water is a necessary part of keeping a population healthy. Effective, safe sanitation systems are a fundamental part of this. It's not okay that 40% of the world's population - including an awful lot of people in Southern Africa - do not have access to sanitation. It's ridiculous that 
... diarrhoea still kills a child every 20 seconds. In fact, diarrhoea kills more children every year than AIDS, malaria and measles combined.
 It's World Toilet Day and there just isn't enough being done to fix this crisis.
