Zambians demand action on election promises

Workers in Zambia are striking and threatening strikes over wages just three weeks after the President Sata took office. Sata is scrambling to make changes as quickly as possible. Many international commentators were impressed with the peaceful transition that took place in Zambia. This might be even more unusual - people holding their new leaders to account just weeks after coming to power. Wonder what would happen if this kind of pressure was put on every elected government?
