More diplomatic trouble with Malawi?
The latest diplomatic row involving Malawi seems to be with neighbouring Zambia. It appears that newly sworn in Zambian president, Michael Sata was arrested and deported from Malawi in 2007. No explanation was given then or since. Sata has announced that he will not attend the upcoming COMESA meeting in Malawi unless Malawi apologises. Malawi has said that what happened in 2007 related to a private individual and has nothing to do with the president of Zambia. The saga will, no doubt, continue.
