USAID to invest more in Mozambique
The head of USAID has announced that the US would like to increase its US$400 million annual support to Mozambique. US funds will support food security, agriculture and infrastructure development, particularly roads. Shah also praised Mozambique's push on malaria and their goal ensuring that every child under 5 years sleeps under an insecticide treated bed-net. Mozambique faces many problems and huge poverty and has recently been in the news battling pirate attacks off its coast and struggling with migrants from the Horn of Africa.
