New celeb school project in Malawi...

This time it's Roger Federer but he seems to be getting it a little closer to right. Rather than spending millions on building a single vanity-project school, the Roger Federer Foundation is planning to put $3.3million into early learning centres in 80 communities in Malawi. They will also be working with a reputable NGO - with established operations in the country - to identify quality local early childhood development (ECD) organisations working in six of the country's 28 districts. Focus, scale, local organisations, a much-neglected and crucial sector, not discovering the problem while trying to adopt/abduct local children. Sounds, on the face of it, like a pretty good plan.
