Horn of Africa food crisis intensifying

Between 6 and 8 million people face acute shortages of food and water in Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia where the worst drought in 30 years has decimated crops and threatened livelihood assets. According to World Vision those worst affected are in Kenya and Somalia. One in 4 children in Somalia is suffering from malnutrition. Food prices have already pushed inflation in Ethiopia up by 30%. Without large-scale intervention, the situation is likely to get worse in the coming months.
