Collected advice for Southern Sudan
Several bloggers whose writing and ideas I enjoy have been weighing in with (not always entirely serious) advice for the new government of South Sudan (or should that be government of new South Sudan). Beyond enjoying the exchange far more than would qualify me as a normal person, it raises some interesting points about the things governments should be worried about in their first few years building a new country. Particularly in light of the rather hotly contested local government elections about to take place in my own country (South Africa) and the ongoing tensions (and sometimes battles with police) over service delivery.
