Election Season: Madagascar coup?

Madagascar is supposed to be voting today in a constitutional referendum intended to demonstrate the legitimacy of Rajoelina's government. The country has been in relative isolation since 2009, when the coup that removes Ravalomanana from power, after the AU refused to recognise the new government and international donors cut non-essential aid.

Reports coming in now suggest that there might possibly have been another coup in the country. There appears to be some confusion with some reporting the coup claim (here and here) and other reports suggesting that senior military leaders have vowed to crush any coup attempts.
